Water Park Shut Down During Vacation Week

At Canoe Lake Park in Salem NH they have a wonderful outdoor water park the kids will love called Castaway Island. This water park typically opens around Memorial Day and it has a lot to offer including a tidal river . It also has a 60 foot water tower with three different water slides to keep the kids busy! They have a Lil Squirts Lagoon for smaller children.

This water park also features a Rain Fortress, private cabanas so Mom and Dad can relax in style, an on-premises restaurant, a tiki bar for drinks, clean changing facilities and more! This water park is a great family-friendly option youll love!

Kahuna Laguna North Conway Nh

Kahuna Laguna is New Hampshires largest indoor water park, and about a three-hour drive from Boston. Part of the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort, Kahuna Laguna offers four water slides for kids over four feet tall, as well as a wave pool, basketball court, and 25-person hot tub. An adventure tower offers slides, with water cannons and a tipping bucket that will drench kids completely. Little ones will love the Little Kahuna play area with its slides and shallow pool. Children aged 2 and under are free.Costs: Visitors to Kahuna Laguna can buy day passes online beginning at $38 or visit as part of their stay at the Red Jacket Resort or its sister property, Fox Ridge Resort. Children ages 2 and under are offered free admission.

At more than four hours from Boston, Pump House is definitely the farthest north of the parks featured here, but the trip would be well worth it. Located at the cushy Jay Peak ski resort, The Pump House offers water slides, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and even a poolside bar. Thrill-seekers will love La Chute and its 65-foot drop at 45 miles per hour, and visitors seeking a more relaxing experience can try out the Big River . Pump House also has an arcade, surf shop, and snack bar, in addition to all the activities to be found at Jay Peak . Be warned: the only way to ensure admission is by scheduling in advance online or booking a lodging package. Be sure to reach out to the park before making the drive.Costs: Day passes begin at $43 per day, or $35 for kids 4-14. Children ages 3 and under are free.

How To Get To North Conway Nh

Red Jacket Mountain View Resort and Indoor Water Park

North Conway is a bit of a drive from most major cities, which is a big part of its appeal. Its 1.5 hours from Portland, Maine two hours from Manchester, New Hampshire and three hours from Boston, Massachusetts. All of these cities have major airports, but Boston is your best bet for international flights.

In terms of public transportation, there are a few bus options from Boston. Amtrak bus lines offer buses from Boston to North Conway via Concord and Tilton that take about 3.5 hours. Concord Coach Lines has buses between Logan Airport and North Conway that take 4-4.5 hours.

Once youre in North Conway, youll see that most people get around by car, with a few exceptions getting around on foot. There is no Uber in North Conway, but there are several taxi services.

The only indoor water park on Cape Cod, the Cape Codder is about an hour and 45 minutes from Boston. CoCo Key is the closest water park option for Bostonians, clocking in at just under an hour from the city. Attached to the DoubleTree by Hilton in Danvers, visitors can make CoCo Key a day trip or an overnight. Younger kids will love the kiddie pool with its theater and the lazy river options, while older kids will enjoy the four wild waterslides and the obstacle park area. CoCo Key has a snack bar and cabanas for rent, and an arcade for when you get sick of the water. If you decide to make it a day trip, dont forget to bring your own towelsthe park doesnt offer them. Indoor waterpark was the main attraction and our 3 and 4 year old grandsons loved it.

Large, comfortable room with comfy beds and a great view. Staff was exceptionally kind and friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Kids had a great time at the water park.

the property is in a great central location in town and close to shopping and restaurants. The amenities provided to the guests were great. I also really enjoyed all the options for the kids throughout the day. The toddler section in the water park was also wonderful.

We were very pleased with everything at the hotel. The rooms were basic but clean. There wasplenty to do for everyone.

Tubing On The Saco River

If youll be visiting North Conway during the summer, you can cool off in an inner tube on the Saco River! Its a relaxing way to spend your day or take a break from hiking and fun for people of all ages!

The Saco River Tubing Center in North Conway will shuttle you up the river so that you can tube back down to where your car is parked.

While floating down the Saco River, you can get off at any of the multiple beaches for a picnic or some swimming. You may even find a rope swing or two.

There are a few route options that range in price from $15 to $32. The routes include a 1-mile trip that takes 1 to 3 hours, a 3 mile trip with small rapids, a 5-mile all-day floating experience, and a few other options.

Check the website for updates.Perfect for little ones, this indoor splash pad is located inside Norwood’s Rama Athletic Club, around 45 minutes from Boston, and is open to the public. The splash pad features a small slide ideal for young children, waterfalls, geysers that shoot water, and more. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring flip-flops so you can more easily assist your children while they’re playing. Note: It can get quite warm inside the splash pad, so consider wearing layers! Note the hours below, and consider calling ahead to confirm the splashpad hours and let them know you are coming, if you are close to the closing time. The hours are 8am to 12 noon and then 4pm to 8pm Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday 8am to 12 noon.Costs: $10 per child.

How Much Time To Spend In North Conway

How much time do you need for North Conway? To visit downtown North Conway, you could do it all in one day. The downtown isnt very large and you could walk around, check out some shops, and grab food all within an afternoon.

But any North Conway visitor knows that this place is all about the outdoors. To explore the surrounding mountains, forests, and state and national parks you should give yourself at least a few days. Depending on how outdoorsy you are, you may want more time than you think.

Would it be overkill to spend a full week in North Conway? Not at all! We would love that trip! Having a full week in North Conway will give you a chance to explore the region in more depth, and you can plan further away day trips to different parts of the White Mountains.

North Conways surroundings are so lovely, you might just want to chill out and enjoy the serenity. And thats perfectly acceptable.

You can expect to spend most of your time outdoors when visiting North Conway, whether its climbing the mountains, skiing down them, swimming in lakes, or heading out to see moose or go dog sledding.

As far as more urban activities go, North Conway is famous for its outlet shopping at Settlers Green. But North Conway Village is home to several lovely small gift shops that are worth perusing. Theres also hitting up the local breweries, distilleries, or coffee shops.
