Every water heater installed by Superior come with a one-year labor warranty and a great manufacturer’s warranty that covers the equipment for a specified coverage period. Each class of water heater comes with a different coverage period, but each will be extended by four years:
- Hybrid water heaters: 10-year equipment warranty
- Traditional gas or electric tank water heaters: 6 or 8-year equipment warranty, depending on the unit
Warranties are non-transferable and do not cover clogged drains, maintenance items, odors, 3rd party services, accessories, or acts of nature. Warranty work will only be done during normal business hours or will incur an hourly rate charge. The Department of Energy has released an Enforcement Policy Statement that allows manufacturers to offer an 80-gallon residential electric water heater until December 31, 2021. As a result, Rheem® is now offering an 80-gallon Professional Classic® electric water heater and Ruud® is offering an 80-gallon Professional Achiever® electric water heater. Orders can be placed beginning on November 18, 2019 until December 31, 2021.
Both the Rheem Classic PROE80 2 RH93 and the Ruud Achiever PROE80 2 RU93 are rated at 0.93 UEF and have a First Hour Rating of 78 gallons, making them the perfect choice for high demand applications. Each comes with a standard 6-year limited tank and parts warranty and stainless-steel elements for prolonged anode rod and tank life.

80 Gallon Electric Water Heater Options
80 gallon electric hot water heater is common in larger homes in Palm Beach County. When these water heaters fail, you will find that finding a replacement 80 gallon water heater is almost impossible.
The reason for that is the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act of 2015. Water heaters manufactured after April 16, 2015, must meet the new energy requirements. This law applies to electric and gas hot water heaters. The gas hot water heaters are still available because the makers could make changes to the tanks that brought them into compliance. The 60, 80. and 100 gallon tanks are not efficient enough to meet the new energy requirements.
So what do you do if you have a large tank like a 60, 80 or 100 gallon electric hot water heater? If downsizing the amount of hot water available in your home is not an option then there are several ways to get the same amount of hot water and some that could save you money on your monthly electric bill.
